Mililani, which means "Praise Heavenward" lies between O‘ahu's two volcanic mountain ranges, Ko‘olau and Wai‘anae, and between the two large gulches of Waikele and Kipapa, almost precisely in the center of O‘ahu. Mililani was named an All-America City in 1986 for its efforts to clean up drinking water contaminated by agricultural pesticides. These community efforts have made Mililani an ideal place to live, with planned neighborhoods, convenient shopping, and easy access to all the island of O‘ahu has to offer.
